Q & A

Can this be used under an aluminum patio cover? There would only be one foot from top of heater to
aluminum cover.

Please refer to the 3rd question down and I will elaborate further. This unit is intended for open
air circulation, the more open air circulating the better. Like any other vented toxic fumes you
want it to disperse rapidly especially in areas of people gathering. We cannot suggest a use other
than using this unit in open air the way the manufacture intended its use. If considering placing
this under a covering that is at the users own risk and not fully recommended.

Without flew pipe how tall is,this unit

The Q-Stoves Q05 is 36" tall (3 feet) minus the stack height.

Can this be used on a covered patio?

Not fully recommended but yes under the proper circumstances. As long as there is sufficient air movement and no
pockets that will trap exhaust close to where people may gather or sit, and also please consider any pockets
where exhaust my trap and potentially seep into attached living space, home, garage, etc. There is also a 3'
cushion of space required between the unit and any combustible materials. The more open to air the patio is and
the higher the roof/covering the better.

With a non-combustible mat would this product be safe on a composite and wood deck?

Yes or even without the mat. This is a direct quote from the Q-stoves Q&A...
"Yes, the Q-STOVE is safe to use on most any deck because heat is not generated at the base"
Additionally it is noted that the minimum distance combustible materials should be kept from
around the stove is 3 feet.

This product is strictly for out door use, Right? Could it be vented outside? Looking for a small
pellet stove as such that can be used indoors .

Yes, this unit is strictly for outdoor use and the venting should not be manipulated other than the
manufacturers configuration. At this time we do not offer a small pellet stove for indoor use.

Can this be used inside? In a tent or small cabin?

The vent needs to be in open air and the minimum distance to keep combustible materials away is 3 feet.
This should not be used in a closed environment.
