Maximize Your Storage with Medicine Cabinets and Vanities

Medicine Cabinets and Vanities to make the most of your space

Consider your lifestyle when you choose your medicine cabinets and vanities. If you're planning a shared bathroom, a medicine cabinet and vanity provide significantly more storage than a mirror and pedestal sink.

When choosing a medicine cabinet, you'll need to know the mounting style that you want. Recessed (aka flush-mount) cabinets are inset into the wall and like anything that requires opening up a wall, need careful installation. If you do not inset your medicine cabinet, keep in mind that you may need to purchase a side kit to give the exposed sides of the cabinet a finished look.

For the best medicine cabinet and mirror lighting, combine an overhead vanity light with two wall lights placed at eye level on either side of the mirror to reduce unflattering shadows.

Take advantage of the space you have and go for the biggest vanity set you can fit to maximize your storage potential. If you're remodeling to sell, a double vanity may help make your home more appealing to potential buyers.
